“We had the most beautiful day with Joao and Maria. First, learned about the orange orchard and the workings of the farm as we picked baskets of oranges. We then started the process of making marmalade. As the luscious fruit simmered, we ate a traditional Portuguese lunch prepared with love by Maria. Our hosts were so warm and generous - we never wanted to leave! It was one of the most authentic experiences we ever had and will certainly remain as a loving memory to cherish always!”

Francisco lead us through the market (met his grandmother who sells produce in the market), the town, by the church, the museum (an amazing guided tour through the museum), and the palace giving us so much information about the history of the area. As a local who grew up in Silves he is incredibly knowledgeable about the area. You will not be disappointed if you take this tour!”
